Vladimir Martirosyan

Graduate Researcher & MS Information Systems Student

My research focuses on using tools such as third-wave AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing to analyze information spread in social media, quantifying its reach and the behavioral patterns that drive it.

Why does a video get ten million views overnight? What makes some content spread exponentially while equally credible content barely surfaces? How do platform algorithms shape what we collectively believe?

These are questions many of us sense the importance of, yet the answers remain surprisingly elusive. Using large-scale datasets and empirical methods, my research aims to quantify how content propagates across social networks and map the structures that amplify reach. I am also interested in identifying the platform-level features that predict engagement and sentiment using ML models.
